"The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." (Psalm 92:12-15)
I'm writing to encourage you today to blossom right where you are, in the presence, in the courts of the Lord. Rather you are just beginning your relationship with The Father or desiring to strengthen your bond, to tread a little deeper into the depths, length, breadth, and height of His love - Go! Flourish! Run-on! Continue to fight the good fight of faith. You haven't been bought this far to be left or to give up. There's no tapping out now, no. For you are not a quitter- you're more than a conqueror. You reign in Christ, you triumph in Christ. In Christ you are victorious, knowing no defeat. Many think they have to be at a certain level in Jesus to blossom or look a certain way, or pray a certain way, to be used by God. Right where you are, come ALIVE.
If by chance, you're at a place where The Spirit of The Lord is leading you to tread deeper, I encourage you to trust and obey. As He would say "go another round with me" - grip His hand even tighter and continue on to the eye of the storm, go deeper into the trenches ... "To live is Christ." And if I may say so myself, the surrendered life is the BEST life - full of surprises, full of your heart desires being manifested in your business, family, finances, health, in the lives of your loved ones, and ministry. God"chosen" ones are soaring in this season. They have mounted up with wings like eagles because they fainted not. If that's you, spread your wings and fly with the eyes of Elisha, for the harvest is plenty.
Or maybe you're at a point in life where you sincerely desire "life" and "peace" and you're hungering for satisfaction. I pray that the living water will be your choice of filling. Right where you are flourish. Flourish at journaling down your disappointments, your concerns. If you're not a writer, talk it out, simply put. Flourish at putting on your Worship music and singing unto The Lord. He wants to hear your heart's song. Drink from the well that is sure to never run dry.
Not at your best? On your last hope? In need of a miracle? A change of story? What a perfect opportunity to flourish and come alive even the more in His love. Every dead thing rattles in the presence of The Almighty. It's true, there is no security outside of Jesus, He's your only safe haven. His arms will never fold from you, they are outstretched, desiring to embrace you, so you can flourish, on this side of Heaven.
The scripture above, Psalm 92 is one of my favorites to confess over my life daily. It's right after Psalm 91 - (one of the most powerful bible verses one can quote, the scripture Satan used to test Jesus with) so I can never miss it. I love to be reminded that God desires for me to flourish, to grow, to be alive and fresh, not sometimes but always. That desire of His is not for some elect, it is for all. It is for the oppressed, the bruised, the sinner, the orphan, the widow. To flourish is to win. Get to winning.
