I'm PUMPED about sharing this Blog Post with you guys. It has been on my heart to post for quit some time now, so here it is!! Declaring my day with the promises of God has been life changing (to say the least) - and I can't wait for you all to start seizing your day with The Word as well. [Isaiah 55:11 KJV] states, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." We all know that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. So these precious words that we chew, meditate on, hide in our hearts and bind on our necks are sure to work in our homes, for our families, in the lives of our lost save ones, on our jobs, for our businesses and so much more. I've had some really big struggles this past year and for a minute I didn't quit understand how it would all turn out. Of course I trusted God, however I needed to feed my faith daily. So what did I turn to? I turned to the Word, the Bible .... and it did not disappoint.
When do I start confessing the Word? As soon as I wake up. Before my feet hit the floor, I'm speaking Promises into the atmosphere.
Several scriptures I confess daily, Morning + Afternoon + Night
1) "This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it." [Psalm 118-24]
Another glorious day. Another gift from God. Another day among the land of the living. No matter what lies ahead, no matter what's on my agenda, I choose to rejoice in another day and have a good attitude about it.
2) "... for the joy of the Lord Is my strength." [ Nehemiah 8:10] (My Favorite)
I'm always complimented on the "Brightness" that I carry. Often I'm asked am I always so happy. No, I'm not - But boy am I always full of JOY. I inspire to be like Paul. To be content in any situation. To have much, to have little, yet I still have JOY in the midst of it all. Often times when I'm tired and don't feel up to getting out of the bed in the mornings, I start to declare this scripture. Before you know it, I'm up and at it. Conquering my day.
3) "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." [Joshua 24:15] "There is treasure to be desired and oil in my dwelling" [Proverbs 21:20]
I confess these two scriptures with boldness and possess them with faith. Believing that my (now) family and for generations to come, will serve the Lord. We will live for Christ and grow in wisdom, favor, faith, and grace.
4) "God has set before me life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore I choose life, that both my seed and I may live." [Deuteronomy 30:19]
Life and death truly live in the power of our tongue. Are we tearing down the life and health of our family? Or are we constantly building them up and admonishing them with encouragement? Are we passing on blessings or curses to our offsprings? Are we leaving a heritage of abuse, poverty, lukewarmness of faith? Prayerfully not.
5) The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" [Psalm 27:1]
When we count the cost and follow Jesus, we're to bare our own cross and drink the bitter cup, but Praise God we don't have to do it alone or in fear. We can walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow (pretending to scare) of death and fear NO evil with - assurance, peace, and our covering, our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is our hope and He is life. He gives us strength to run whatever race set before us and come out victorious.
Should you stop there? Only seize the morning with the Word? Of course not! It's a great start in the morning, however, continue to declare and speak promises throughout the day. When you feel your body getting tired, speak The Word. When your mind began to wander and you to start to entertain senseless thoughts, speak The Word.
You might say, "Well Pam I don't know a lot of scriptures. I only can memorize three." Well I think thats a perfect start! Start with your three scriptures and before long, you will be confessing ten scriptures in the morning, twenty during the mid-day, and thirty at night.
What can you expect from Declaring Your Day? Everything The Word promises ...
Life "For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh" [Proverbs 4:22]
Peace "And the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" [Philippians 4:7]
Increase In Faith "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" [Romans 10:17]
What are some of your favorite promises of God that you have written on the tablet of your heart? I will love to hear them in the comment box. Make sure to come back and tell me the out pour of miracles, when you start to bombard your mornings with the promises of God.
Jesus Is Just That Good,
